How to access the ANSI C12 Working groups CVS repository using SmartCVS Checking out CVS modules

The following steps need to be done only once. If a module have already be checkout, you just have to do an update.
See the "Updating an already checkout CVS module" section.

• Installing SmatrCVS: Download and install setup-jre-2_3_1.zip from http://www.smartcvs.com/download.html
• Run SmartCVS: Select the menu option "Project/New CheckOut... You should see the following dialog.

Enter the location of the CVS server.

Enter the name of the CVS module to checkout, click on the Scan button to get the list of modules available.

Enter the location of this module on your local drive.

Don't modify any option.

Click on "Finish" to checkout your selection.

Updating an already checkout CVS module

To synchronize your local copy with the actual content of the repository:

• Open your project with the menu option "Project/Open Project"
• Select the main directory in the left tree.
• Select the Update icon.

See the history of a file:

• Select a file in the list
• Clink on the View log icon.
